Designing a logo might look easy. People have laughed at the Olympic Games logo for our Summer games (although wait til you see the new 2018 Winter Olympics Logo!) but have you ever thought “what goes into designing a Logo?”.
We have outlined a little example for you after we completed the logo design for our client Walton Hall Fishery (their website is coming soon).
Our clients website went live this morning! We have LOVED working with this local Wakefield restaurant to give them a website that really reflects all that they have to offer. Hope you like it, your feedback is appreciated.

When she isn’t building websites, fixing Facebook pages, writing blogs, or chasing late invoice payments, our Creative Director – Fionnuala – spends her spare time with the Huddersfield Philharmonic and is currently resident at the back desk of the cellos.
For that reason, we were honored to be asked along to photograph both the rehearsal and final concert for their “French Connection” concert on Saturday the 27th of April. A wonderful concert full of fantastic french classical music, the highlight being the Saens-Saint Organ Symphony.
Very busy designing a new logo for a very well known Wakefield restaurant. The Cow Shed has been serving up gorgeous food as long as I have been based here, and probably a few years on top of that. They want to get their branding away from the preconceived idea that they “just do steaks”.
We will also be updating their website and getting them onto Facebook too, so if you are a fan of The Cow Shed, Wakefield. Watch this space!
After the success of ‘She Loves You! Yeah’ and ‘Flashdance’, Wakefield Youth Music Theatre and Theatre Royal Performance Academy present a celebratory Easter show featuring songs from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Children of Eden, Jesus Christ Superstar and Godspell.
Brought to you by the same professional team behind Les Miserables, West Side Story and Footloose, What’s The Buzz features the stars of tomorrow in a musical medley of well known songs including Jesus Christ Superstar, Any Dream Will Do and I Don’t Know How To Love Him.
We love photographing this Youth group as they are so full of wonderful talent! Break a leg guys! We know you will be great!
We are celebrating the launch of a new clients website!
Laughter in Mind launched their site on the 2nd of April. We have loved working with such a fun client and hope that they remain loyal clients to Mustard Seed Media.
We were contacted through Facebook by two ladies – Christine and Linda who were based between Oldham and Huddersfield. They own “Laughter in Mind” – a company that provides Laughter Yoga Workshops. They were impressed with our style and wanted to meet with us, so we arranged a meeting to discuss their requirements.
Their brief for us was to create their company branding, their website and help them to brand their social media platforms, so along with some initial sketches, our designer sat down at the drawing board and came up with a selection of ideas for the ladies to choose from. Some they liked, some the didn’t, but after a few tweeks and revisions and emails, we arrived at a design that they loved. We also helped them with the branding of their social media sites, including Facebook and Twitter, their letter heads, business cards and their email signatures.
We met half way through our website development to go through everything and give them a chance to make changes. They were very happy with what we had created so far and were excited about the project. We only had a few minor changes to make before we organised our final pre-launch meeting.
They wanted to be able to make changes without having to always rely on a developer. On our final meeting, our web developer – Fionnuala – taught them how to add/edit and amend the website using their own CMS system and arranged a “go live” date.
We are chuffed to bits with our site that was brilliantly crafted by the wonderful team at Mustard Seed Media
We loved working with Fionnuala and her team, from our very first meeting with them their energy, creativity and passion was infectious. They have been so prompt and responsive to all our requirements and have come up with very helpful advice along the way, from concept to final design.
Thank You Mustard Seed Media we have loved working with you and we love our website!
As a growing company that currently is kitchen based we have to continually consider the future of our company and how we manage things day to day. We don’t have fancy offices yet, but do we really want them? Do we strive to be just like the big companies that have their fancy offices, or are we going to find a new path to follow?
This video by Ted Talk of Jason Fried of 37Signals fame, got us really thinking about what our next step as a company will be and how will we manage our company and our employees in the future. Its very thought provoking and only lasts 15 minutes. Take some time out, watch the video and consider how you run your company.
