We are long supporters of the Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra and have helped them in the past year to increase their awareness within the local community and with local businesses. This year we have been given then opportunity to work with them on their marketing campaigns by creating unique images. Each of the photographs contain playing members of the Orchestra and will be used on the flyers, posters and online advertising.
This image is the first in the series. We wanted to put a musician in a place you would not usually find one. The Leeds Library helped us out by giving us a fantastic location to shoot. Surrounded by ancient books and signs asking members to “keep quiet”, trumpeter Mike stood poised, about to make a racket!
The Orchestra do not play during the summer, giving their players a well deserved break so “The end of silence” represents the Orchestra coming back together for the first concert of their season. Mahler 5 opens with a big trumpet solo, so Mike was the perfect choice of musician to place in the image.
Look out for other images representing future concerts, appearing on our portfolio soon!
